Welcome! You are standing Between The Opened Door.

Before you can pass the threshold of this door, there are a few things we need to discuss. I need you to remember that this is my space and that this is a piece of my inner world that I really worked hard at feeling comfortable with sharing. It’s not always easy showing parts of myself to people, especially to those with narrow, straight, closed, and colorless minds and hearts. Trust me, I am constantly learning to be open and colorful with others in a reciprocal relationship. I hope we are not too different. And so here I am, making a conscious decision to show my artistic voice and forms of expression with faith that you are at least a little kind and opened minded. This is how I ask that you try to be when you enter my created world: 

 

Come into my world with kindness, compassion, and respect. 

Make me feel that you hold space within yourself to be an observer and a curious explorer of an inner world that does not belong to you. 

Come into this experience without trying to force your own beliefs and ideals on to another.

Make me feel that you care enough to learn about the stories of another human being.

Allow me to feel and be safe to be me. 

Be a dreamer and an explorer so you can understand another’s world view. 

If you are not willing to try to meet me half way, then we will clash and this creative space has the potential to be viewed through the perspective of a nightmare.

As you explore, do not let your fears ruin what we could experience together:

a colorful shared life in this beautiful world.

And of course, hold love in your heart, always.

 

And last, before you cross the door, you must read to understand and agree to the following:

 

1. Please do not share/post Between The Opened Door (BTOD) website or any of its content on any social media platform. If you feel a calling within to share this website and any of its content, please do so directly with friends and/or family. I have no social media and don’t intend on being part of any platform any time soon and so I’d like to keep it that way. This is a little crevice in the internet that only wants to be found like a hidden treasure map, or if at all.
 

2. Please keep the creator’s identity private. I know you are smart enough to figure out who I am, yet I ask kindly that you keep my identity in the shadows as this is my desire. Sometimes the more we know about an artist, the less we can connect to the art. If you already know who I am or if you have a feeling of who I might be, I ask that you please be respectful and keep it to yourself.

3. If any of the content triggers you, you must look for healthy and appropriate resources to help you cope with whatever is happening within yourself. Remember that this is just a fictional space, with fictional forms of art and storytelling. Please be respectful of your mind, body, and soul. Heal as you need to before continuing to explore this site.

4. I ask that you please be an adult, from wherever you are accessing BTOD site from. If you are considered a minor, please do not enter this site and return to it when you are of an appropriate age because the themes in this site may not be appropriate for a developing mind. Only when you’ve had life experiences may you be able to understand. There is no need to create an external revolution where there is none needed but rather an internal revolution you will feel as you figure out who you are. 

 

5. Please do not use any of my artwork for your personal use without my permission and consent. Feel free to be inspired to create your own art and stories, but I ask that you please don’t take my art out of context. That includes warping the art outside of the creator’s motivation and perspective. Know that [Between The Opened Door] is bound by my 5 protectors and it begins with the laws of Karma. This is how it starts…..
